About Sandra Strohmeyer, Author and Painter
Horses have always been an integral part of my life. For me it has been the comradeship, learning to understand each other and admiration of their strength, beauty and gentleness. The horse has been painted and drawn throughout history in all parts of the world. Their form, line, and curves mixed with boldness and strength have awed artists throughout the ages.

This is also where you can contact me about my book, "Mary Jean's Red Shoes". Look for my book on Amazon and other outlets. It is a literary commentary on how we treat the elderly in the US. Mary Jean is a ninety year old lady who lives at Kingsley Home for Seniors. She finds a box of red running shoes on her doorstep and soon her mundane, small life begins to unfold in fantastic and exciting ways she could never have imagined. There's mystery, reflection, and heart- warming moments that will get you thinking about celebrating every moment and imagining what your last years could be like.
